The peckvonhartel team are delighted to congratulate Senior Principal Yvonne von Hartel and acknowledge her Queen's Birthday appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia.
Yvonne's
contribution to design and the broader community were features of the
Award citation; "For service to architecture, design and building
through involvement with a range of professional organisations, to the
promotion of women in business, and to the community."
Her award reflects the overriding approach of peckvonhartel towards design. Yvonne is the second Member of the Order of Australia within the Practice.

one national circuit wins 'project of the year'
Now recognised as one of the landmark buildings in Canberra, One National Circuit received further accolade at the recent Master Builders Association of the ACT Excellence in Building Awards. The 17,000m2 building, designed by peckvonhartel, won a number of awards including "Project of the Year" and for "Commercial Building more than $12million".
The Prime Minister Mr. John Howard, recently expressed his appreciation of the design of the building, on behalf of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet.

awards - kingsleys steak & crabhouses (nationally)
peckvonhartel's design for Kingsleys Steak & Crabhouse Brisbane has been shortlisted for the IDEA (inside) design awards. Last week Kingsleys Steak & Crabhouse Canberra opened its doors to the public, a welcomed and highly anticipated addition to the newly developed Canberra Centre. Our design for the new Melbourne restaurant is well underway.

has been appointed as principal design consultant for
the refurbishment of a 23,000m2 office building located
in the Sydney CBD. The
project includes the upgrade of the commercial office space, lobby and
retail levels, and an upgrade to the façade to support an
improved building efficiency and increased AGBR and Greenstar
(ESD) rating.
