peckvonhartel’s workplace interior project for KPMG has been awarded in the commercial interior category at the ACT Master Builders & Boral Excellence in Building Awards 2012. victorian desalination plant
2012 has seen the final stages of the Victorian Desalination Plant at Wonthaggi come to life. Together with ARM Architecture and ASPECT Studios, peckvonhartel continues to work towards the completion of Australia’s largest desalination plant. The design is totally integrated into the Bass Coast landscape and plays home to the largest Green Roof in the southern hemisphere, a remarkable feature that was recently recognised at the 2012 Australian Landscape Architecture Awards. more...

Seeking a firm that had experience in delivering innovative and highly flexible workplaces, Jones Lang LaSalle appointed peckvonhartel to implement their globally recognised Activity Based Working system, WorkSmart, into their Canberra Office at 121 Marcus Clarke Street. This project is now complete and was the first of its type for JLL in Australia, the Canberra project has successfully adapted a global workplace approach into local conditions. more...
32,000sq.m fitout for the australian taxation office
peckvonhartel (in partnership with Hardy Milazzo) has completed a 32,000sq.m fitout for the Australian Taxation Office, located in the landmark Tower 8 building in the Adelaide Central Business District. The extraordinary design is inspired by the Australian landscape and features symbolic imagery across all 14 consecutive levels. Best practice ESD design principles have been implemented with the fitout set to achieve a 5 Star Green Star rating. more...

peckvonhartel has been engaged by HWD (Hill Wardlaw Developments) Australia to develop and deliver the interior scheme for a new residential development that is located within a rezoned pocket of St Kilda. The development sought to attract buyers who would appreciate the idea of living in such a vibrant and dynamic part of the city.

Only 12 months after the launch of peckvonhartel’s Brisbane office, the company has a number of Queensland projects underway. Currently engaged by the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service to conduct a national property review, peckvonhartel is providing services at Customs House Brisbane, and the Brisbane and Cairns airports.
balibo fort hotel
In 2012 peckvonhartel has had the opportunity to work with the Balibo House Trust to design a hotel within an existing 400 year old Portuguese Fort in Balibo, Timor-Leste. The hotel is envisaged as a tourist drawcard in the region and will seek to provide ongoing employment opportunities to the local residents. In addition to the ACT Master Builders & Boral Excellence Building Awards for the KPMG Canberra office refurbishment, The Wheeler Centre received a commercial building excellence award at the Victorian Master Builder’s Association Awards. The ANU College Fulton Muir Building interior refurbishment received a Commendation at the ACT Architecture Awards for its simple and effective design that was successfully delivered within a tight budget and peckvonhartel was also a recipient at the Sydney Design Awards, with Jamie’s Italian taking home the Interior Design – Corporate or Hospitality Award.
