Airservices Australia Level 2 Building 1.01, Da Vinci Business Park Brisbane QLD

role Interior Design value $1 million area 1,000m² completion date May 2010 client Airservices Australia

Airservices Australia are located in offices nationwide.  The Brisbane fitout follows peckvonhartel's successful refurbishment of the Canberra Airservices office, and the pvh preparation of national Accommodation standards.  peckvonhartel is also currently designing the new Technical Asset Support Airservices building in Melbourne.

To accommodate a growing number of staff, Brisbane Airservices needed additional floor space.  This resulted in 65 staff being relocated to the new Da Vinci Business Park office space.

The client brief required accommodation for 4 teams each with different requirements.  The Accommodation guidelines were central to the design process to ensure all the basic space and storage requirements were met.

The interior was inspired by sleek aeronautical forms and features, contrasting with sharp finishes for contrast in the space.  The yellow was inspired by runway lights and airport signage and is used to introduce colour into an otherwise simple palette.

The project was particularly cost effective and was completed under budget within an extremely tight time frame.  The result includes new furniture, graphic elements and new state of the art technology, combining to deliver a workplace environment that is vibrant and innovative.
