The Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) engaged peckvonhartel to provide interior design services for a national rollout of over 30 regional offices. This is a major exercise in design management as the tenancies vary in size and location. The core responsibilities of peckvonhartel include tenancy suitability advice, spatial planning and expert interior design.
All tenancies nationally maintain a similar design principle and aesthetic. The establishment of a national benchmark design ensures quality control throughout the rollout, as well as reinforcing the brand of the Department. Each office location, however, will have a specific resolution to best match a distinct context, space and program.
The national rollout is in various projects phases, from design development to project completion. The anticipated completion date for the entire rollout is December 2010.
