FaHCSIA Tuggeranong Office Park ACT

role Interior Design value $29.7 million area 32,000m² completion date June 2011 client FaHCSIA

peckvonhartel completed a national office accommodation rollout for the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA). The rollout included over 30 fitouts consisting of both state and regional offices.

Following the completion of the rollout, peckvonhartel was commissioned to design and document the new headquarters for FaHCSIA at the Tuggeranong Office Park (TOP) in Canberra. This project had a budget of $29.7 million and required the refurbishment and fitout of approximately 32,000m² of office accommodation.

Each of the five blocks within the office park comprised tailored finishes schemes that were inspired by five environmental themes; Outback, Coastal, Rainforest, Snowy Mountains & Suburban. This resulted in each block achieving its own unique feel, united by a common theme.

The design includes general office accommodation, library, auditorium, conference facilities, tele-presence room, general building compliance upgrade, base building improvements, revised foyer entry and security perimeter, and an upgrade to the executive wing of the building.
