peckvonhartel is a proud supporter of community service groups. As a company we have a common goal to make a difference in our community by providing design services to those who need it most.

peckvonhartel has recently completed pro bono renovation works for Lifeline Canberra’s crisis support and suicide prevention centre. The project provided an upgrade to the Hipsley Room, a common room and kitchen used for collaborations, meetings between staff and volunteers, and student and mentor talks.

Refurbishment works included refreshing the room to bring some energy into the space through a contemporary colour palette of blues and greens and the inclusion of feature lighting above the collaboration space. Existing offices were removed to create a new open plan work space with 5 new workstations, and the addition of a new meeting room has provided an acoustic and visually private space for confidential discussions.

The critical service Lifeline provides to support people in crisis and save the lives of those experiencing thoughts of suicide can now be performed in the improved facilities delivered by this office upgrade. This project continues our ongoing support to the community, working with groups such as Lifeline, Barnardos and Pegasus.
