To whom this may concern:

Dear PVH,

My husband and I are looking at relocating to Australia and to broaden our work experience. We are both currently freelancing which gives us the ability to be immediately available for work positions.

Interior Design Vacancy

I am an experienced, well-rounded interior design professional with a Nelson Mandela University Bachelor's degree focused on Interior Design. I have a demonstrable history of working in the interior design industry and am skilled in Corporate Design, Commercial Design, Restaurant Design and Residential Design.

I have gained professional, practical and hands-on experience and skills in the Interior Design field in various working environments. More specifically,

• I worked at Inhouse Brand Architects for almost two years. I was part of the Johannesburg Design Team that worked on various projects such as Nike Headquarters Johannesburg Office Design, PMI (Iqos) Office Design, British American Tobacco Office Design and Piza e Vino Restaurant Design – just a few of the projects completed by JHB Design Team. While working for Inhouse, the JHB Design Team was sent for a Revit course to further our knowledge in BIM Revit and how to use Revit efficiently. While working at Inhouse I gained experience in the Commercial, Corporate, Restaurant and Retail Design sectors.
• I worked at Lynne Blumberg Interior Design for almost a year. Each designer worked on a project from the conceptual stage through to hand-over. I learnt a great deal while working there from dealing with clients directly on a daily basis, compiling the final quotes while staying within the client’s budget and using the FF&E programme (Quodi) to complete the final budget. While working here I learnt to become organized, create budgets for clients, be creative but adhere to the budget and running a project from the conceptual stage through to hand-over.
• I worked at The Blumberg Fabric for almost two years. In this time, I learnt a great deal about fabrics and I assisted the Designers/ Decorators/ Architects with colour schemes, finding fabrics or cuttings/ samples for their current projects. I gained the skill on how to conceptualise designs with finishes and materials before they were completed.

• With the above professional work and study experiences I believe I meet the requirements with practical proficiency and knowledge in the Interior Design field for this position;

o B.Tech (Degree) in Interior Design
o 3-4 years of work experience, please refer to my CV
o I have extensive experience in the use of 2D & 3D software such as Revit, Autocad, Sketchup, Adobe (Photoshop and InDesign), MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook) and Corel Draw.

Please refer to my Work Experience Portfolio which demonstrates the extent and variation of work I have done.

I am a hardworking and dedicated professional designer who has always related well to both colleagues and clients. I can make a valuable contribution to any company and design team, and would appreciate your consideration for any vacancies in your company.

Thanking you.

Yours sincerely
Cherisé Walter
