peckvonhartel is delighted to have received a Commendation for Interior Architecture at the 2012 ACT Architecture Awards. The ANU College Fulton Muir Building interior refurbishment was awarded for its simple and effective design that was successfully delivered within a tight budget.

ANU College is a tertiary institution that provides a pathway for international students to achieve the required language levels to enter courses at the Australian National University (ANU).

Bold use of colour, graphics and signage along with Australian themes and place names are integrated into the building fabric providing a playful and lively approach to way-finding through the building, cleverly addressing students’ constraints with language skills and offering a contemporary learning environment.

The success of the Fulton Muir Building refurbishment has led peckvonhartel to be commissioned for additional works on the second level of the building.
