peckvonhartel were appointed by asciano to complete the fitout of 530m² of office space, prior to their listing on the Australian Stock Exchange in mid 2007.
The brief called for the design, documentation and procurement of a fast-track fitout to establish the new Head Office. peckvonhartel facilitated the delivery of the project by appointing a Construction Management team based on profit and overheads to eliminate time delays during the tendering phase.
The design focused on promoting asciano by accentuating its brand, critical in the startup of a new company. peckvonhartel employed a classic, neutral palette subtly enhanced by accents of red and deep navy, derived from the company logo. The overall impression is simple, understated and timeless. Emphasising elongation and expressing clean lines add subtle detail, as well as employing classic leathers and fabrics to aid the impression of strength and timelessness.
The workspace comprises open areas and individual offices linked by a sizeable breakout space with full kitchen, loose furniture and a dining bench. The breakout space is flexible in its arrangement and can be utilised for social purposes or informal team meetings.
