peckvonhartel is currently engaged by GEOCON to deliver architectural services for the Building Application (BA) and Construction Phase of the Southport Apartment Development in Greenway, ACT. When complete, Southport will offer 360 apartments with six-star resort style amenities in a range of apartment sizes, from a spacious studio, spacious one-bedroom, roomy two and three bedroom, expansive four bedroom, and modern terrace apartments.

peckvonhartel has been asked to undertake a comprehensive review of the approved Development Application (DA) design, with a view to providing GEOCON with a fully resolved and coordinated set of construction documents. The peckvonhartel team has also assisted the investigation and incorporation of a range of wall types and construction details into the development which have been identified as cost effective, as well as assisting with the program through the tendering period.

peckvonhartel’s role is to liaise with all consultants to bring the project through from design phase to construction completion. A large part of the peckvonhartel role has been identification and resolution of clashes detected in the Building Information Modelling (BIM) stage prior to construction.

 peckvonhartel have also managed the DA amendments process, which is typically required following the completion of BA documentation. The team’s lead coordinator ensured the DA amendments package was fully and effectively coordinated to allow a timely approval process.
