Woolworths Supermarket Wagga Wagga, NSW

role Architecture value $4.2 million completed date September 2004

peckvonhartel were commissioned to refurbish an existing Woolworths Supermarket in Wagga Wagga to bring the store to the National Woolworths standard. The existing 4,000m² store was contained in an old 1960's warehouse and was in a rundown state.

Design and documentation was developed based on a Woolworths feasibility plan, national standard drawings and specifications. Significant adaptation and interpretation of documentation was required to suit the existing building footprint. peckvonhartel were also briefed to refurbish the facades independent of the interior refurbishment.

Full architectural services were provided by peckvonhartel. The project was built in four stages to ensure continuity of store trading.
