Yvonne von Hartel AM

Yvonne von Hartel AM

Yvonne von Hartel AM is a Founding Principal of the award-winning national architectural and urban design practice, peckvonhartel. Yvonne has practiced as an architect for 49 years, working on Australia’s largest and most significant infrastructure projects.

Yvonne is currently a Director of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Trust and Chair of its Capital Works Committee, a Council member of La Trobe University Council and a member of its Infrastructure and Estates Planning Committee, a Commissioner of the Victorian Building Authority, a Director of the Queen Victoria Market Pty Ltd, a Director of the University of Wollongong, SMART Infrastructure Advisory Council, and is the Independent Specialist Advisor – Design for the Sydney International Convention, Exhibition and Entertainment Precinct,  Design Advisor for the Capital Metro Project Canberra and a member of the Design Review Panel for WestConnex for the Sydney Motorway Corporation. She has served as Chair of the Sustainability in Buildings Standards Coordination Group of Standards Australia, as inaugural chair of the Victorian Design Advisory Council, and as a Director of the national Tourism and Transport Forum.

During her career, Yvonne has taught both full time and part time at the School of Architecture at the University of Melbourne. In 2007, Yvonne was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for ‘services to architecture, design and building through involvement with a range of professional organisations, to the promotion of women in business, and to the community’. Yvonne graduated from the University of Melbourne with Honours in Architecture and is a Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects (LFAIA). She has completed the Executive Management Program at the Melbourne Business School.

Robert Peck AM

Robert Peck AM

Robert is a founding Principal of peckvonhartel with over 40 years experience in the architectural profession and in the building industry Nationally and in South East Asia.  He holds a number of positions in the building industry and is the current President of the Australian Association of Consulting Architects.  He is a founding Director of Japara Aged Care and is Chair at Ivvy, a leading event and booking software business.  He is renowned for his relationships with, and knowledge of, the construction, finance, and development industries.

In June 1997, Robert was awarded an Order of Australia for ‘services to the Practice of Architecture, Urban Design and Development particularly through statutory and regulatory authorities.’  Robert is a Life Fellow of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects.

Rachel Peck

Rachel Peck

Rachel is a Principal of peckvonhartel, Architects, Planners and Interior Designers. Rachel graduated with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with Honours from the University of Melbourne in 1997. Prior to joining peckvonhartel Rachel worked with Citibank in London and Baulderstone Hornibrook in Melbourne, on site in construction and as a Development Manager. She is a former Divisional Council Member of the Property Council of Australia (ACT), a founding member of “2050” a National group for young professionals working in the built environment dedicated to a more sustainable built environment for Australia, Interim Board Member for the founding of the Canberra International Arboretum, and Member of the University of Melbourne Trinity College Building and Grounds Committee.

She was awarded a Future Leaders’ Award in 2006 and was the Telstra ACT Young Business Woman of the Year in 2008.  Rachel attended the Australia 2020 Summit and in 2010 completed a Masters of Business Administration at the Melbourne Business School. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and in 2011 Rachel was appointed to the Board of Icon Water (formally ACTEW Corporation Limited) an ACT Government owned unlisted company with assets and investments in water, sewerage, electricity and gas. She is a member of the Icon Water Board’s Risk and Assurance, Nomination and Remuneration Committees. Rachel is Deputy Chair for the Australian Tapestry Workshop, Member of the Australian Futures Project Advisory Board, and Chair of the Canberra Business Chamber Planning and Infrastructure Taskforce.

Marten Peck

Marten Peck

Marten has over 20 years experience in the construction industry both in Australia and overseas. Prior to joining peckvonhartel Marten worked as a Project Manager and Development Manager for Australia’s largest builder.

Marten has a unique understanding of the development industry and brings this focus to peckvonhartel as Principal of the Sydney practice.

Vishal Saxena

Vishal Saxena

Vishal has over 17 years of experience of delivering urban design and master planning projects as an Architect and Urban designer in many cities such as Canberra, Sydney, Dubai, Bangalore, New Delhi, Abu Dhabi etc. These project have involved very robust stake holder engagement, have been client focussed and presented innovative site specific design solutions that are contemporary in terms of design and practical to build. Vishal likes to works his concepts from ground up with simple sketches to engage with clients which eventually through engagement with teams translate into beautiful developments. Vishal has high level of experience in leading multi consultant teams to deliver large scale urban level projects which have consistently exceeded client expectations in terms of design and delivery.

Rebecca is a registered architect, an experienced designer who has designed and managed the development of major retail, commercial, environmental, exhibition and brand focused projects, from strategic briefing, master planning, feasibility and concept through to delivery.

Tim is one of Australia’s leading interior designers with experience on a diverse range of widely-recognised and awarded projects  across the UK, USA, Asia, and Australia. With a deep knowledge of contemporary interior design trends, and experience in designing flexible and responsive technology-enabled environments. Bringing 19+ years’ experience and expertise developed on some of Australia’s leading hospitality and retail experiences. Tim brings deep understanding of the strategic imperatives that must be considered to ensure a successful agile space.

Tim’s leadership within a creative studio environment is based on collaboration and blurring of sectors with a passion to challenge and disrupt design thinking. His approach is underpinned by an unswerving commitment to design excellence to ensure a dynamic design outcome aligned to client’s strategy and the end user.

Petar Danicic

Petar Danicic

Petar Danicic’s career spans more than 30 years in the local and international building industry, Petar has developed a passion for delivering high quality, detailed and sophisticated architecture and interior design. Petar’s extensive portfolio of project experience with that expertise in a variety of commercial and recreational buildings, building renewal, workspace and residential projects interfaced with ideation to interior lighting design.

Since his early beginnings as architects technician, Petar evolved as an accomplished all-rounder, travelling abroad where his experience flourished, returning to Australia. His overseas experience included London, Dubai, Tokyo, Oman and Ho Chi Minh City.  Later in his career held Senior Design Associate & Partner positions with Melbourne based architectural practices. Between 2004 and 2014 Petar embarked on his own journey to establishing specialised design studios in Sydney & Melbourne. The practice engaged to procure all facets of project design procurement & delivery inclusive of feasibilities, design, construction with economical values and orientation to client & end user fulfilment.
