YVONNE VON HARTEL AM LFAIA | Founding Principal

Renowned architect, Yvonne von Hartel AM has contributed to Australia’s most innovative built work, creating a legacy as a pioneer for excellence in design. Awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for ‘Services to Architecture, and to the promotion of women in Architecture’, Yvonne is also a Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects. Yvonne participates on several design review panels, committees and boards. Currently appointed as Commissioner of the Victorian Building Authority, a member of the Sydney Metro Martin Place Over Station Development and Western Sydney Airport Design Review Panel, Yvonne’s rich and deep understanding of architecture and design ensures she remains an active contributor across all design areas of the practice.

ROBERT PECK AM | Founding Principal

Awarded an Order of Australia for ‘services to the Practice of Architecture, Urban Design and Development’ Robert is a founding Principal of peckvonhartel and has been involved in the design and delivery of iconic projects on both a national and international scale.

Robert is a Life Fellow of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects. A highly involved figure in the Australian property industry, he has been elected to numerous advisory group positions, including Chairman of the National Building and Construction Council, Board Member of the Property Council of Australia and National President of the Association of Consulting Architects Australia (ACA), an organisation he helped establish. He plays a pivotal role in the commercial delivery of major projects.

RACHEL PECK | Principal

Awarded Telstra businesswoman of the year, Rachel is sought out for her development expertise and commercial acumen. She firmly understands the economic drivers of large-scale projects.

With an Engineering background and a passion for insightful design, she brings an abundance of expertise and experience to the early stages of a project. Rachel holds numerous corporate leadership roles, including her current appointment to the Board of Icon Water as well as her recent tenure on the Board of the Arboretum, and as Chair of the Canberra Business Chamber Planning and Infrastructure Committee.

MARTEN PECK | Principal

With a career founded in property development, Marten brings a unique perspective and critical eye to peckvonhartel’ s large scale development projects. His strength is in predevelopment strategy and feasibility, often partnering with developers and collaborating with architects at the formative stages of our projects. Aiding in risk management and maximising commercial opportunity

Marten draws on his deep network of design and industry professionals to curate dynamic project teams, providing critical insights to global benchmarking in architecture, sustainability, and urban response, driving the best economic, social, and commercial objectives of each project.

REBECCA DAFF | Practice Director

Rebecca’s tenacity to create tangible value for clients has seen her championing innovative shifts in retail and workplace design thinking for Australia’s most iconic brands.

As a disciplined architect with over 20 years in the industry, Rebecca’s approach to transparent dialogue and strategic process empowers her clients through design. She brings a unique aptitude for assimilating multiple stakeholder agendas: Creating a powerfully captivating and insightful vision for projects and the commitment to realise them.

As National Practice Leader, Rebecca carries the peckvonhartel legacy of ensuring we deliver projects that set new benchmarks across government and commercial sectors.

TIM GILES | Design Director

Critical thinker, storyteller and innovator, Tim Giles has a unique ability to seek out his clients’ core business challenges. He uses design as a business tool to unlock potential and shift barriers to better business outcomes.

Infallible in thinking and nuanced in approach, his experience in retail and workplace environments is pivotal in peckvonhartel’s ability to reposition assets, create dynamic precincts, and attract long term tenants, exemplified in his international award-winning work.

As peckvonhartel’s National Design Leader, Tim drives the practice’s mandate to deliver innovative design founded in a rigorous process, unwavering on quality.

PETAR DANICIC | Associate

As a highly experienced Architect, Petar has a vast knowledge of construction processes and excels in the management of our wider appointed consultant teams, alongside the coordination of many diverse disciplines.

With considerable experience in project and design management including statutory requirements, detailed design specifications and internal quality assurance Petar is dedicated to ensuring constructability and functionality are delivered on complex projects, without any compromise to the design vision.

Petar’s skill in analytic research of site, neighbourhood context and spatial usage is invaluable in projects from urban design master plans to commercial and accommodation studies.

NATALEE MARTIN | Associate

Natalee brings a client-focused passion for the integration of stakeholder groups, ensuring that project objectives and design approach strategies are implemented into well-communicated design and technical outcomes. She is adept at problem-solving and highly trusted by clients, contractors, consultants, and architectural teams.

Her commitment to the development and management of strong working relationships is central to her approach. Supporting a high level of client communication, with an appreciation for design and a highly technical skillset, Natalee harnesses the whole project team to make projects a successful journey from concept through to on-site completion.

MICHELLE BRYANT | Associate

Continuing her dedication to government sector projects, Michelle’s expertise in stakeholder management and accommodation standards distinguishes peckvonhartel’s ability to deliver workplace, refurbishment, and consolidation projects for state and federal government.

Michelle has earned the confidence of her clients, consultants, builders, and peers through her demonstrated success managing multiple agendas and design requirements, supporting commonwealth approval processes, creating effective value management strategies to deliver on budget requirements, and applying efficient design methodologies for fast-tracked programmes.

OLLY CRAIG | Head of Marketing and Communications

Olly is part of the peckvonhartel leadership team, collaborating to set and achieve annual performance goals for the practice. A multi-skilled communications professional he possesses in-depth knowledge of the nuanced practices of global engineering consultancies and architectural firms. Allied with extensive experience in communications and marketing, Olly strives to create and share stories and insights backed by the latest data and evidence.
Olly continues to provide strategic recommendations for all communications across our multi-studio practice to ensure peckvonhartel’s brand is upheld across all platforms.

DANIJELA GLOGOVAC | Head of Finance

Danijela heads our national finance function and brings an abundance of analytical and financial modelling skills to our practice, working closely with our leadership team, providing insight into ongoing financial health and performances. A Certified Practising Accountant, Danijela focuses on fine-tuning the financial systems and processes to keep our practice efficient.

Danijela’s skillset and rigorous work ethic is vital for the external planning and success of our projects, as well as managing internal budgeting, reporting, monitoring and forecasting in all business areas.

OLIVIA ABBEY | Practice Manager

As peckvonhartel’s practice manager, Olivia ensures that the practice continues to operate smoothly and collaboratively and is involved across all day-to-day operations of our national studios. From leading our administrative support team, recruitment and onboarding, helping to coordinate the practices graduate and career path programs, managing our strong quality assurance accreditations, whilst holding a key people and culture role, Olivia’s support reaches all facets of our practice.
