peckvonhartel was engaged by DB RREEF Funds Management to undertake an upgrade of the 60 Miller Street lift lobbies. The peckvonhartel resultant design offers a clean, contemporary look using rectangular metal panels and recessed lighting to create strong vertical and horizontal lines.
White ‘colour back’ glass panels frame the entrance into each lift, adding a reflective quality to the lobby; a white stone floor tile was specified in order to complete the crisp palette. Neutral colours were used throughout the design to provide an impartial canvas for potential tenants to brand.
After successfully completing this refurbishment, Dexus engaged peckvonhartel to complete the upgrade of the Ground Floor entry of the property, with a view to giving the space a much needed aesthetic upgrade.
The concept concentrated on delivering a communal area within the lobby that would be seen by tenants as a destination as opposed to a transient space. The vibrant palette sets up a contrast with the minimal, corporate lift lobbies and manifests the original concept of “work versus play.”
