client BigWorld Technology
Commissioned to design BigWorld Technology’s new Sydney headquarters, peckvonhartel designed a creative workspace, and using experience from similar commissions to ensure the fit out quality aligned to the brand attributes of BigWorld.
Experiencing exponential growth, the driver for the relocation was to improve workplace efficiencies that supported this future growth
Using a tested and rigorous engagement tool-kit, the return brief was developed by peckvonhartel after a number of consultation sessions with stakeholders. The sessions identified the following key success factors:
– increased staff retention
– an agile and responsive workplace that allows for projected growth
– a large collaborative café where staff can escape their desks and relax; and
– a functional but creative environment
Within a converted wool shed peckvonhartel created a predominantly open plan space synonymous with the dynamic culture of BigWorld Technology. Shared facilities flank the main work area, which is formed by banks of linear bench style workstations.
peckvonhartel drew inspiration from the industrial history of the base building and provided a colourful, edgy space for staff and clients in which to relax and interact.
Working closely with the project team and drawing on professional relationships with local furniture suppliers, a quality fit out was delivered within the project budget and on time.
