peckvonhartel together with Quintessential Equity, submitted a Request for Proposal for a mixed use development at the Gateway site of Werribee as part of the Wyndham City Council’s Expression of Interest for the sale and development of three Council-owned Catalyst Sites in the Werribee City Centre.
As part of Wyndham City Council’s commitment to the reinvigoration of the Werribee City Centre, council committed to lease 3,000sqm in the Gateway building for a yet to be determined administrative function. This commitment coupled with the Department of Treasury and Finance’s (DTF) commitment would be the catalyst for the development of this critical corner site and the future of the Werribee City Centre.
The scheme focused on DTF’s commitment to the Gateway site, with the vision to create a social and community benefit that would be realised through the immediate commencement of Wyndham City Council’s most important site and the benefit the local retailers in the form of the population base that this building would create.
Key features of the proposed development include 5,000sqm of PCA A-Grade office NLA over 3 office levels, 500sqm of flexible ground floor office and a bespoke commercial office design component consisting of 2,000sqm for DTF and 3,000sqm for Wyndham City Council.
